Sister Mary Ellen received her spiritual direction certification through Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA.
Focus areas include spirituality, scripture, personal growth, journaling, and contemplative prayer.
Sister Mary Ellen Green, a Sinsinawa Dominican, joined the Marywood staff in September 2019. She is serving in both financial development and programming for Marywood. Most recently she served as the Director of Development for the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation.
Her fifty years of ministry include being on the leadership team of her congregation as well as teaching and administration on the secondary level. In additional to her educational ministry she has done retreat work throughout the United States as well as in New Zealand, Australia and France.
Sister Mary Ellen has her MA in Pastoral Ministry from Santa Clara University, an MS Ed in guidance and counseling from the University of Wisconsin: Oshkosh, and a BA in French education from Edgewood College. Theological study and prayer have always and continue to provide the context for her service.
