“TASTE AND SEE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD” SERIES
June 12 – Monday 9:00-11:30 a.m.

This series will explore the tasty goodness of some natural ‘fruits’ of the earth and some of the ‘fruits’ of our labors in our gardens. Our first exploration will be into the wonderful world of rhubarb. It is more than a “pie plant.” Bring your appetite. Suggested offering $10.00. Register by Thursday, June 8.

MICHAEL CROSBY: A RESPONSE TO DYING

Fr. Michael has authored books: Repair My House, The Spirituality of the Beatitudes and more. He often raises the question: “What would Jesus do?” At this writing, Fr. Michael speaks of finding God in his own experience of cancer. We will gather to ponder his insights and wisdom as a Capuchin Franciscan who resides in Milwaukee. Suggested offering $10.00. HANDMADE PAPER/FRINGED & EMBEDDED HANGING
June 19/20 – Monday & Tuesday 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Facilitator: Karen Kappell, FSPA
This two day workshop will include the making of handmade papers on Monday and after drying overnight we will work with the sheets we made to create items that incorporate the papers: such as decorative hangings, cards, small collage paintings. All materials needed for the first day will be supplied. Suggestions for day two will be given on Monday. Fee for two days: $50.00. Bring a lunch, limit of 8 participants. A GARDEN CELEBRATION OF THE SUMMER SOLSTICE

“Gardening is a monk’s way of caring for the soul” writes Thomas Moore. “If you would be happy all your life, plant a garden” advises a Chinese proverb. On the eve of the summer solstice come explore in words and ritual gardening as a means of caring for your soul and the earth, and as a path to peace and joy. Suggested offering $10.00. WATER WONDERINGS

“Water is life” someone once sang. Water is life giving is so many ways. Come sit by the water, listen to the water, speak to the water, experiment with the water, wonder at the water, and discover God’s life giving Spirit in the water. Suggested offering $10.00. Register by Tuesday, June 20.

FLY FISHING OVERNIGHT: AN INVITATION TO ATTENTIVENESS
June 23-24 11 a.m. Friday – 3 p.m. Saturday
Facilitators: Clint Burns and Dick Bruesehoff
Come learn how to fly fish and pay attention in a whole new way. Is there a way to get into the mind of a fish? Led by Wisconsin licensed guide Clint Burns and retreat leader Dick Bruesehoff, you’ll experience a casting clinic, learn how to “read the water” and pay attention to the fish habitat, practice fly fishing and discuss what we noticed and what has attracted our attention. $175 includes a private room in a shared cabin and all needs.
