Presenter: Karen Kappell, FSPA
Bring your photos and experiences of being on a shore and watching the waves slam against the rocks. We will capture the atmosphere and action of this with soft pastels. The painting will be dominated by large wave shapes swept by the wind so the majority of the painting will be very active. Pastel board will be provided. Bring pastel supplies and photos of waves. Fee: $30.00. Bring a lunch & register by Monday, October 29.

LANDSCAPE: PASTELS

November 6-Tuesday
9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Presenter: Karen Kappell, FSPA
We will create a very dark background and apply soft pastels over this surface. It is much easier to apply the light pastel over the dark and the painting will develop much faster. A forest scene works with this type of painting or any scene that has light over a contrasting dark. Bring soft pastel supplies. Pastel board and dark paints will be provided. Fee: $30.00. Bring a lunch & register by Tuesday, October 30.
