Cold wax medium is applied to oil paints to increase transparency and workability. The process allows a person to build up textural effects and transparent layers. We will create abstracts and landscapes as we learn to paint with the wax and oil paints.

On day one, we will create underpainting with a variety of materials and letting the underpainting dry overnight. On day two, we will continue with adding the oils and cold wax to create final small experimental paintings. Cold wax, oils and surfaces to paint on will be provided. Participants bring any oil paints you might have and paper towels.
