Eco-Grief: Finding Hope Across Generations (Pre-Recorded Webinar) and Discussion

Join us virtually or in person Monday, April 21, to experience a transformative webinar exploring a spiritual approach to dealing with eco-grief and intergenerational action for our common home. Featuring expert Victoria Loorz, this event will explore the emotional and spiritual impacts of the climate crisis and offer pathways to hope and resilience. A panel of young people, including climate activists Gabriela Martinez and Kayla Jacobs, will share their experiences, challenges, and the ways they sustain hope while advocating for change. Together, we’ll reflect on how to transform despair into meaningful action and hope for the future.

This pre-recorded webinar viewing will be followed by group support and discussion of our shared and unique experiences with eco-grief.

Canticle of the Sun (Zoom)

Virtual program with Franciscan Spirituality Center

With a candle flame and a bowl of water, we will contemplate elements that St. Francis of Assisi celebrated to praise the Lord. You can be inside or outside. We’ll rejoice with Marty Haugen’s song based on St. Francis’ 1224 Canticle. What does it mean to relate to creation as Brother Sun and Sister Moon, Brother Fire and Sister Mother Earth? How could it feel to meditate on the blessings of beautiful light, creatures and flowers?

Time: 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Investment: $18
