Winter Solstice: Welcoming the Growing Sun

Many peoples, Christians included, hold celebrations around the time of the winter solstice, in the deepest, darkest time of the year. The timing of this celebration brings to our awareness that it is in dark times that we can find hope in the light of the cosmic Christ. We invite you to gather with us at Marywood, around a fire and hot beverages, with the sounds of drums and rattles and stories, as we
turn our attention and intention to the light growing within us to bring hope to the world. Please bring a lawn chair and drums and rattles, if you have them.
