Walk-ins are welcome at any Marywood program. Calling ahead whenever possible, however, will help us plan for you and allow us to call you in the event of a change.

CRAFT: ALTERING PAPER -FORMING A PAPER VESSEL
June 6 – Monday

This is a two-day workshop. Monday we will create color sheets of paper to be used for collage using fluid acrylics, watercolors, and gels. After these sheets have dried we will form bowls which need to dry overnight. We will use some of the remaining sheets to create a collage painting. Bring a canvas or stretched watercolor sheet on which to apply collage, white glue like Elmers (not school quality), scissors, and water colors. On day two we will finish off the bowls and paintings. Wear painting clothes and bring a lunch for the first day. You will have plenty of sheets to take home and use for further projects. Fee: $30.00; bring a lunch. Register by Wednesday, June 1.

“CARE OF OUR COMMON HOME” – A morning at Kemp Natural Resources Station
June 10 – Friday

Come to experience some of the last remnants of old-growth forest in northern Wisconsin. Let’s walk the land, hear the stories and reflect on the fragility of the resources around us. What is our responsibility in the big picture? This program will take place at the Kemp Station which is about 6 miles East of Woodruff on Hwy 47 (sign along Hwy 47). Wear good walking shoes and bring a bag lunch which we will enjoy under the tall trees. Suggested offering $10.00. Register by Wednesday, June 8.

HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR

Presenter: George Mueller
George Mueller, a World War II survivor of incarcerations, has a story to tell that is beyond imaginings. He has written a book on his experiences titled Lucie’s Hope. Come and meet George and hear his riveting story of how he discovered and came to terms with the shattering effect the Holocaust has had on his life. Suggested offering $10.00.

DIRT, WATER AND AIR: God Is There
June 14 – Tuesday
9:30-11:30 a.m.

We walk on and dig in the dirt. We drink and wash with water. We breath and know life. Where do we experience the Holy in our daily lives? Come and know the Holy in all we often take for granted. Suggested offering: $10.00 Register by Friday, June 10.

WITNESS TO THE WORLD
June 15 – Wednesday

We are called to be Eye/I Witnesses in the world around us. Come and experience various prayer forms while stringing a set of beads that can be used in prayer. The prayer beads can help connect with each other, strengthen our prayer lives, and keep us attuned to God’s world. Suggested offering $10.00.

INTRODUCTION TO LAUDATO SI’ Series
June 16 – Thursday
9:30-11:30 a.m.
Presenter: Marla Lang, FSPA
An introduction to this 2015 world-wide encyclical, “On Care For Our Common Home,” will address key elements of safe-guarding our common home, the earth, through this message of Pope Francis. It is written in a very accessible style for anyone. If you have a copy of the encyclical, bring it along but it is not necessary. (See also July 19 & August 11). Suggested offering $10.00.

DRUMMING CIRCLE at Eagle River
June 18 – Saturday

The drum is a powerful instrument for centering and healing. Many native peoples refer to the drumbeat as the heartbeat of Mother Earth. Drumming can be a means of connecting to the natural world. It can be a bridge toward a deeper relationship with all that the Creator has made. Time is spent for personal and communal healing. Bring drums and shakers if you have them. Suggested offering $10.00/session.

BEGINNING A NEW DAY

We will examine the 365 times a year that we have the privilege of beginning a new day with intent or focus. Come join us in looking at some of the possibilities that can help each new day come to greater wholeness because of how we approach it. Suggested offering $10.00.
